Avani Barbarons Seychelles is set to relaunch following a major transformation. Moreover, Minor Hotels has elevated the property to Avani+. The global hospitality group owns and operates more than 560 hotels in 57 countries including in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, the Americas and Europe.

Minor Hotels has announced that Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles is set to reopen on June 16, 2025, as a reimagined resort, marking the next chapter for one of Seychelles’ most notable beachfront escapes.

Moreover, a refreshed look and elevated guest experiences will reflect the modern sophistication of Avani. Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles is set on the west coast of Mahé Island, a 30-minute journey from the Seychelles International Airport.

The luxurious resort nestles amid lush tropical gardens and offers guests direct access to pristine white-sand beaches. On reopening, the resort will offer 192 fully refurbished guest rooms and suites, including brand-new Lagoon Access Rooms, bringing guests even closer to the resort’s expanded lagoon-style pool.

Guests can also unwind at AvaniSpa, explore the surrounding waters with snorkeling and water sports, or discover Seychelles’ vibrant Creole heritage. Moreover, the relaunch of the Seychelles resort will also introduce an exciting dining scene that celebrates island culture and coastal flavors. Among the amazing choices, guests can enjoy globally inspired bites at Pti-Bazar (pictured above), hand-rolled sushi at SEYUMAI, or flame-grilled feasts at Somewhere, meaning there is something for every taste.

Meanwhile guests can enjoy poolside snacks and drinks at Zil and Lagon Bars, while Bar Barons blends wholesome plates with signature cocktails.
