2. Alexandre Yersin Museum:
the famous Swiss scientist, Dr Alexandre Yersin, spent much of his life
studying in the city of Nha Trang. His study, work and life is on display
in the museum, which costs only US$2 entrance fee. It is open from Monday
through to Saturday.

3. Vinpearl Land:
one of Nha Trang's most family friendly attractions is Vinpearl Land. This
magnificent theme park include restaurants, a fun park, water park and
a resort that is suited for the entire family.
The only problem is trying
to fit everything into the one day, unless coming back the next day isn't
an issue.
4. Doc Let Beach:
about 30kms to the north of Nha Trang is the beach known as Doc Let. It
is much cleaner, more pristine and more memorable than the tourist filled
and dirtier beaches near Nha Trang. Fresh seafood can also be purchased
and cooked while on the beach. |
5. Yang Bay Waterfalls:
located less than 40kms from downtown Nha Trang, the waterfalls of Yang
Bay are quite dazzling. Unfortunately, the locals built a beach out of
concrete for tourists, but this doesn't really take away from the natural
beauty. Swimming and lazing in the sun are the primary attractions of this
landmark.
6. Cam Ranh Beach:
about 15kms from Nha Trang is the Cam Ranh Beach. It is quite long, and
generally peaceful. It doesn't receive an overkill of visitors, so has
remained largely unspoilt. It is possible to order fresh seafood while
sitting on the beach.

for a taste of real Vietnamese culture, venture down to the fishing village
of Nha Trang, which sits between the old and new bridges. For some of the
freshest seafood ever tasted, and a good look at traditional fishing communities,
visit the town's fishing village.
8. Po Nagar Cham Towers:
this attraction shows a truly majestic, ancient structure that was built
by the Cham people centuries ago. Today, it is a place of worship for Buddhist
followers in Nha Trang. To get to the towers, visitors must pass through
the 'untouristy' areas of the city.
9. Long Son Pagoda:
this pagoda was built in the early 1960's to commemorate the spiritual
citizens that died protesting against Diem in the middle of last century. |
