Have you always dreamed of living like a King or Queen in a luxury castle?  Well, you can. The U.K. offers several historic castles, often in beautifully scenic locations and many of them are quite rightfully national treasures.  Nowadays it is possible to stay in style, whether on a bed & breakfast basis or as a luxury hotel, and for those who want to act like the lord or lady of the castle, many offer self-catering options too.

While some castles in England have fallen into decline, and many were damaged severely during the English Civil War, several have been renovated and brought to their former glory. Scotland and Ireland also have their fair share of the most amazing castles imaginable and Loyd & Townsend Rose has a dedicated service offering the best in those historic and luxurious accommodations.

With everything from castles and stately homes to beautiful mansions and country houses, these days the choice is amazing and for a large group of friends or a family holiday, they offer all the bedrooms you need for a comfortable and companionable stay. You will find a staff on site, looking after your every wish and ensuring that everything runs 100 percent smoothly during your holiday.
To give you a taste, the following is just a brief introduction into what is on offer in the way of a luxury castle hotel, a sumptuous bed & breakfast and an incredible self-catering stay in bonnie Scotland.

Inverlochy Castle Hotel & Restaurant, Torlundy, Fort William

Scotland’s finest luxury hotel is nestled among the glens, mountains and lochs of the country's West Highlands and offers a deluxe experience with wonderfully appointed rooms and the best cuisine on offer.

The views of the lush, green surroundings and the River Lochy from the guest rooms are simply amazing. Everything is catered for, including individual stays, family holidays, weddings and corporate events.

Oh yes, and the hotel recently won in the 2015 Scottish Hotel Awards.

Contemporary Scottish Castle

Not all castles are ancient in Scotland and this contemporary architect designed construction is a fine example of more modern architecture on offer for your family group holiday.

Completed back in 2003, this castle nestles right in the heart of a 60,000 acre estate, around 90 miles from Inverness and close to all the attractions of the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness.  While resting from a hunt for the Loch Ness monster, guests can relax in style.  The property features all kinds of entertainment options, including a snooker table, games room and sauna.

If you are planning a trip with a group of friends or family members, plan ahead and book a castle.  Not only will you stay in absolute style, on a per person basis, this type of stay can be very affordable too.
