Tropical Hide-away in the center of Amsterdam”
Located
in a typical Amsterdam Canal house, which was built in 1777, on the former
coastline of Amsterdam. Our tropically decorated guesthouse retains
its original facade, and has a gable stone displaying an island with 3
palm trees. Our first guests were welcomed here in August 1999.
Barangây
is a Filipino word meaning small village or community.
Each
guest receives a warm welcome, the comfort of a uniquely decorated room
and of course our world-famous breakfasts!
THE
AREA
With most tourist attractions
literally around the corner and within walking distance, this is one of
the best locations to explore Amsterdam and beyond.
The Area is right in the
old centre, 200 meters south-west from the Central Station and is called
'the Golden Reaal' .
Our quiet street, Droogbak,
connects 2 major canals, the Singel and the Prinsengracht. Parallel with
the Droogbak is the longest shopping street of the Netherlands. A section
of this street is named Haarlemmerstraat/dijk, a former sea dike, but now
you find good restaurants, specialty and local shops, coffee shops, cafe's,
galleries, hair salons, laundromats, a famous art-deco cinema and a lot
more. The Brouwersgracht one of the most beautiful canals connecting the
four main canals is just one street behind it.
Barangây B&B is next
to the famous Jordaan quarter where you can also find Anne Frank's
house and markets on Saturday and Mondays. The Central station for
all kind of public transportation is a leisurely 3-4 minute walk. It will
only take you 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport by train, or car.

On request, we offer a mobile phone and DVD player for a small surcharge.

To reach the kitchen and
the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor you are going to experience a typical
(steep) Dutch stairs…For those who are physically challenged or with big/heavy
luggage, we advise you to book a patio room.
Note: We have 2 sweet
red cats on our private floor, if you are (very) allergic for cats we advise
you to take the upper rooms.

third person can be accommodated for an extra 30 Euro per night.
The
prices are per room per night on cash basis ex. 5% tourist tax, including
Our World Famous Breakfasts in bed. Payment with card has a credit surcharge
of 5%.
To
book a room(s), we need your full credit card details and estimated time
of arrival (flight details?).
Full
cc details includes the exact name on the card, the cc number, expiry date
and the billing address. The card will not be charged, just to hold the
reservations. Cancellation should be done 5 days before arrival after which,
the credit card will be charged for a nights accommodation.
Cancellations
on the day of the arrival will be billed for the whole duration of intended
stay.
