in comfortable cabins and cottages, horseback riding, country restaurant

Guest accommodations
combine private comfortable housing with a tranquil country atmosphere.
All units are air-conditioned, have tea/coffee facilities and radio/tape
units.
Cabins
(3 units): cozy rustic wood and stone buildings with shower, double bed
and shaded porch overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Comfortable for a couple.

Studios
(4 units): wood and stone buildings, roomy living-sleeping area (bedroom
not separate), shower, kitchenette, cathedral ceiling, large terrace overlooking
the Mount of the Beatitudes, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee.

Cottages
(8 units): Our largest unit has a living room, separate bedroom, bath or
shower (specify if important), kitchenette, private garden or porch. Accommodates

An extra-large
cottage with an additional w.c. For big families there is a connecting
room charged at the rate of a room.
Country
Restaurant:
A
rich and varied menu features house specialties such as home-smoked trout,
fresh fish from the Sea of Galilee, barbecued beef, chicken-in-the-basket,
salads, a range of vegetarian dishes, homemade soups and pies, and fresh
fruit from our orchard. A menu will be sent on request.
Activities:
In
addition to riding, reading and relaxing, we have an outdoor swimming pool,
game room, TV lounge and bar, playground for children, horses, dogs, friendly
farm atmosphere, a 2000-year-old wine press, hilltop lookout point, citrus,
lichee and olive grove, hideaway nooks, and restful lawns. Baby-sitting
service and professional massage available on request.
Off the
farm:
Within easy
driving distance or via public bus service are a host of interesting historic
and religious sites, nature reserves for enjoyable hiking, and a variety
of museums. The nearby Jordan River offers rafting, kayaking and tubing.
Water skiing all year round on the Sea of Galilee, and snow skiing in the
winter on Mt. Hermon. The Golan Winery , known for fine wines the world
over, on the Golan Heights. A fun water park for young and old on the Sea
of Galilee. The area boasts mini-zoos, ostrich and alligator farms, and
hot mineral water spas at Tiberias and Hamat Gader.
Cross-country
jeep (or other 4X4) trips stop at Bedouin camps, Arab villages and kibbutzim
for refreshments or a meal.
Bicycles and
overland buggies available for rent.
Events and
attractions:
Vered Hagalilguests
enjoy ongoing and seasonal events such as the Annual International Folk
Dance Festival at Karmiel, the Annual Chamber Music Festival at Kibbutz
Kfar Blum, the Bedouin Fair, concerts, plays and films. We update our website
on these events and happenings.
Trail
rides and riding lessons are available at various prices
Trail rides
with 'rider-friendly' guides and horses are offered by the hour, day or
week. Trails go:

South towards
the Sea of Galilee to Tabgha, Korazim, Capernaum, Bethsaida and the Mount
of Beatitudes.
-
West to the hills
of central Galilee via a medieval caravanserai where Mark Twain once stayed.
-
North along the
Jordan River into Upper Galilee via the ill-fated Crusader fortress of
Chastelet.
Trips of several
days or more can be arranged by special request to historic and religious
sites, including stopovers at Bedouin camps, kibbutzim and Arab villages.
You don't have to be an experienced rider to enjoy a long trail ride, although
it helps.
