Although situated in the
countryside, there is a commercial center with the usual variety of restaurants
(6), supermarket, pharmacy, bookshops, about 1 km away (15 min easy walk);
another 5 restaurants in walking distance (different directions) of about
600m, another huge commercial center about 2 km away, and a lot more a
few minutes drive by car.
Rooms Situated within the walls
of the original corral are the Corral Apartments and Saddle Rooms. They
are designed in such a way that two couples can holiday together and share
the facilities whilst still maintaining a great deal of privacy.
In describing a Saddle Room, one should imagine a comfortable hotel room
with French windows leading out on to the terrace. The room has breakfast
facilities only (no kitchen) with fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine,
etc, a well equipped bathroom with bath and separate shower. The Saddle
Rooms also have an electric fan and a safe as well as sun loungers and
a table and chairs on the terrace. there are 3 Saddle rooms each
with double beds with 2 mattresses.
The Tower Room is reached
via a winding staircase and has beautiful views over the pool and gardens
of the Cortijo and is very private with a roof terrace at the back.
It has the same facilities
as the Saddle Rooms, however it has a shower instead of a bath.
These comfortable L-shaped
studios were once the original stables. Now tastefully converted and decorated,
they still retain the charm and character of the former riding school.
They are well situated with sun on the terrace throughout the day.
They have a double bedroom, a lounge/kitchenette with a microwave and a
well fitted bathroom with bath and separate shower. As above an electric
fan, a safe and terrace furniture are also provided. The cold jacuzzi
is situated outside these apartments.
There are 4 Stable Apartments
- 2 with 2 single beds and 2 with double beds with 2 mattresses (including
the Tower Room).
These one bedroom apartments
are slightly larger than the Stable Apartments and are situated to the
right of the pool and the hot jacuzzi. They are comfortably furnished and
have everything you would need to help you relax and unwind as soon as
you arrive. One is on one level and has an air conditioning unit while
the others are split level and have electric fans provided. All the Corral
Apartments have a private terrace and one also has a private garden at
the back. They enjoy the same facilities as the previous apartments
and can be used together with a Saddle Room to make it into a two bedroom

The Pool Apartment is so
called since it is the closest to the swimming pool but at the same time
it is the most private with a large garden at the rear overlooking the

a well equipped bathroom and the double bedroom (double bed with 2 mattresses)
is separated from the living area and kitchenette by an arch.
This spacious two bedroom
apartment is well equipped and comfortable with air conditioning, satellite
TV, safe, a terrace at the front and at the rear and it has a very private
garden overlooking the stream. It has been designed and decorated in Andalusian
style with marble and Ronda tiles on the floor and wooden beams on the
ceiling. There is a shower room and the master (double bed with 2 mattresses)
and twin bedroom are separated by a fully equipped bathroom. The twin bedroom
has its own access so that it can be used without disturbing each other.
Other facilities are similar to the Corral Apartments.

from Malaga: On leaving the airport join
the N.340 in the direction of BENALMADENA / ALGECIRAS. This motorway bypasses
Torremolinos and Benalmadena. At Fuengirola there is a choice between the
new toll road or 'peaje' (A7 E15 MARBELLA / ALGECIRAS) and the 'old' Carretera
de Cadiz (N.340 FUENGIROLA / ALGECIRAS). The roads converge on the Marbella
ring road with the toll road continuing to SAN PEDRO / ESTEPONA. Having
taken the toll road make sure to come off at San Pedro, carry on down the
ring road at San Pedro in order to join the N340 again towards Estepona.
After a few minutes take the exit to BENAHAVIS, carry on for about 1 km
and take the THIRD turn off to the left. Carry on past La Cartuja, following
signs to 'El Campanario' and take the THIRD left again. Here you will see
a yellow sign for El Cortijo de los Caballos. Follow this road until you
get to the Cortijo (800 metres).
from Gibraltar: Go through LA LINEA and
follow the signs for MALAGA. You will come to ESTEPONA after about 30 min.
Stay on this road for a further 10 min. and take the exit BENAHAVIS / CAMBIO
DE SENTIDO (Change of direction). Go down the underpass, past the Repsol
petrol station inland towards Benahavis. For further instructions see above.
