Landscaping
The
estate was built in the middle of all native plants and trees, disturbing
as little as possible during construction. Then the landscaping architects
and designers stepped in, to create the various gardens, installing more
than 78 different types of tropical trees, shrubs, bushes and flowers of
just about every color of the rainbow. Some native, and none native
to the island, and including a cactus garden, featuring the native Turks
& Caicos Cactus.
CHALK
SOUND NATIONAL PARK.
The
color of this 10 square mile inlet, keeps changing all day before your
eyes, between shades of blue, aqua and various shades of green, depending
on the position of the sun and clouds.
That's
why on many photos you see the water in different colors.
There
are hundreds of cays and small islands to explore, in this large body of
water, and the depth of the water is around 3 to 4 feet at the shore, to
6 to 10 feet in the deepest part of the sound, and is ideal for boating,
swimming, snorkeling and fishing, etc. Many species of corral, and
tropical fish can be seen. The bottom is made up of a fine white
sand.
