The villa is
located on a steep mountain slope and features a beautiful landscaped garden
with a cascading creek beneath the bridge access, and an overflow swimming
pool set on the edge of the property overlooking the valley. From its large
terraces this residence offers a breath-taking view of the river, the rice
terraces and the surrounding mountains.
Lounge Area The villa was built by an English architect and decorated by his South-American antique-dealer wife. The design of the house is a synthesis of traditional and contemporary style featuring a traditional Balinese thatched roof. |
| There are two
spacious master bedrooms with king-size beds, ceiling fans, and en-suite
bathrooms. The dining room is separated from the fully equipped kitchen
by a service bar, and there is a loft over the dining room which can be
used as a supplementary sleeping area for two persons or as a study. A
spacious roofed lounge area is located adjacent to the pool for casual
open-air living.
Air-conditioning is not required in Ubud's climate, and all rooms have ceiling fans. There is a telephone and a compact stereo system with tape and CD player. Facilities include separate living quarters for the staff, and a car park for four or five cars. The household staff of five includes a gardener and a guard, but no professional cook. |
